Day 1 Antananarivo – Antsirabe 180 km, 4 hours' drive
Meet & greet with our driver guide to begin the tour towards Antsirabe. The national road 7, is the main artery of the country and is therefore one of the busiest but with typical landscapes of the highlands without equal. We will pass a sequence of villages built entirely with blood red earth bricks, and sitting on the sides of the road several street vendors of poultry (rabbits, chickens) and perhaps, what we would like to photograph without a doubt the zebu who work the land incessantly. We will stop in Ambatolampy to visit one of the aluminum foundries that mainly produce kitchen utensils.  We will arrive in Antsirabe after noon. Upon arrival and after a lunch break we will visit the town on rickshaw, discovering local traditions such as the processing of silk, the craftsmen of precious stones and zebu horns. Hotel H1 or similar.

Day 2 Antsirabe - Miandrivazo - Masiakampy 270 km 6 hours' drive

By 10 AM we drive west towards Miandrivazo and then more south to Masiakampy, to spend the night before we begin the river descent. We should arrive at Masiakampy by late afternoon. Hotel Eden de la Tsiribihina.

After breakfast we’ll board a motorized boat and begin the descent to the river Tsiribihina. With luck, we will be able to spot crocodiles sunbathing on the the river banks and also see other wildlife like turtlesbats on the gorges and cliffs and especially birds such as heronsteals and humpback ducks. In addition, you will discover in a series of very varied landscapes like picturesque villages, vast cultivated plains, a tobacco concession in the village of Begidro, magnificent natural pools fed by waterfalls and much more. Camping on full Board Basis.

Day 5 Belo sur Tsiribihina - Bekopaka 110 km, 4 hours' drive
As we enter the last stages of the descent small villages, mainly inhabited by fishermen and farmers, enliven up the already beautiful scenery. Our car is waiting for us in Belo-sur-Tsiribihina to take us to our next stop, Bekopaka. We will arrive in Bekopaka by sunset. Hotel Olympe de Bemaraha or similar.

Day 6 Bekopaka - Grand Tsingy - Bekopaka 35 km rtn, 3 hours' drive
Great day ahead as we will visit of the famous Tsingy de Bemaraha – a national park set in the UNESCO list of world natural heritage composed of sharp fluted and laminated limestone up to 50 mt. high, home to endemic animals and plant species in Madagascar (lemurs, birds, plants). According to many of our visitors, this is one of the most beautiful sights of the whole of Madagascar, but believe me, there are many more to come. We suggest to wear hard comfortable shoes and wear long jeans (despite the usually high temperatures) to avoid cuts. Our visit should take about 5/6 hours. By mid-afternoon we are back at the hotel. Possibility to add the Petit Tsingy de Bemaraha. Hotel Olympe de Bemaraha or similar.

7
Day 8 Morondava - Antananarivo 650 km, 15 hours' drive
Early departure to return to Antananarivo. Possibility to catch an internal flight from €120 pp.
Antsirabe
Antsirabe is located not far from the Malagasy capital, at an altitude of more than 1,400 meters: we have to say that during the austral winter, it is cold for Madagascar. This ancient spa town has kept its quaint colonial style. Antsirabe is peaceful and calm, perhaps a little sleepy. You can go on lovely mountain bike or horse rides in the Vakinankatatra. In addition, the city has thousands of beautifully decorated rickshaws. Great for hikers, Lac Tritriva and Mt Ibity are great destinations.
Masiakampy
Masiakampy is a peaceful fishing village on the banks of the Tsiribihina River of no more than 200 inhabitants, ideal for enjoying the sunset, situated 40 km south of Miandrivazo.
Belo sur Tsiribihina
Belo-sur-Tsiribihina is a large village located in the Tsiribihina delta. It preserves the relics of the greatest Sakalava kings of the Menabe. It is the arrival point for those who descend the river by boat and the obligatory passage for those who wish to go to the Tsingy, whether one arrives by the river or by the track from Morondava.
Bekopaka
Small town in western Madagascar, only passable during the dry season, from May to November approximately. Tourists adventure this far to visit the National Park of the Tsingy de Bemaraha. The hotels are not located in the village center but, this sleepy place deserve a visit. Lively place at night from July to October.
Morondava
Capital of Menabe, Morondava is located on the delta of the river of the same name. The city has always struggled with the sea. It has thus conceded 2 km of rich cultivated plains to the place called "La passe Bethania", in the space of only a century and a half. Morondava is less than 19 km from the spectacular Baobabs Avenue.
